Robots built with educational robotics kits
In our schools the method we use to attract students to Robotics is to put forward a challenge and give the students time to solve it. The results are always positive and the students feel a great personal achievement. We intend to show some of the projects that stood out in these challenges. For example a robot that does the sorting of waste, built by the students with the Lego Mindstorms NXT kit. Using color sensors and rotation, the robot separates garbage into different containers.
We will also show another robot built by the students at the RoboParty 2010 (http://www.roboparty.org/), held from 19th to 21st of February, 2010, which is able to follow a line, avoid obstacles, distinguish colors and emit light and sound.
